The ski resort Jenner at Königssee
The lower terminus for the Jenner cable car is not far from the Lake Königssee. The Jennerbahn was built between 1952 and 1953. The cable car takes skiers and snowboarders to just below the 1874m peak, approx 1800m. From the top station skiers and snowboarders can choose, from various well groomed slopes, runs to the middle or base station or to the small Krautkaser lift.
The cable car ride offers fantastic views of the Berchtesgaden Valley.The 1025m long Jennerwiesen Lift is a two seater lift that takes skiers and snowboarders from 1200 m up to 1672m above sea level. From the top of the Jennerwiesen lift skiers and snowboarders have the option of skiing to the middle staion or to the Mitterkaser Lifts.The Jenner is Berchtesgadens largest ski resort and is ideal for advanced skiers and snowboarders. The Jenner has a snow guarantee and has its own snow making facilities.
