Due to the exposed location, 1600 m above sea level, snow guarantee and breathtaking vistas of the surrounding area of Salzburg make the Rossfeld well known near and far.

The Rossfeld has 3 T-bar lifts and 2 training lifts. A 5 km downhill slope takes the skier down to the town of Oberau and the ski bus takes the skier back to the Rossfeld. In the summer the Rossfeld road is an ideal trip for motorbikers.
